Living the Dream
Background-
In 2010, Rich stepped down from his position in the corporation to pursue his dream of becoming franchise owner. That same year, Rich became an Owner/Operator of several stores in the Pittsburgh region. It was only right that Rich named his company "Doane FAMILY Enterprise", not because of his immediate family, but the entire McFamily that has joined him throughout his journey.
In,2015, Rich sold his stores in Pittsburgh to move back to his children's home base of Philadelphia to continue living his dream. Rich currently is the Owner/Operator of 25 franchises in the Philadelphia region, along with VP of Ops, Stacey Sharpnack, Sr DO, Maryann Hughes, OO, Alyssa Doane Angelovich, Next Gen Candidate, Ryan Doane and many others that make Doane Family McDonalds so special.
Alyssa Doane, Rich's eldest daughter, joined the family business in 2015 in pursuant of following in her father's footsteps. In 2019, Alyssa was officially welcomed to the McDonald's family as an approved Owner / Operator!
Rich Doane started working at McDonald's at the age of 16 as a fry cook. Rich continued working at McDonald’s throughout high school and college (Penn State) and made his way up through the ranks in pursuit to one day fulfill his dream of owning McDonald’s restaurants. Rich was transferred from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia, PA in 1996 at age 33 with his wife Diane and 4 children, Alyssa, Rianna, Mikayla and Ryan when we was promoted to Regional Vice President.
